Will you stand with USC healthcare workers?

Keck-USC’s chronic understaffing puts patients at risk

We are more than 2,200 Keck-USC healthcare workers seeking a contract that will restore safe-staffing levels, keep dedicated caregivers at USC, and maintain our right to publicly advocate for our patients.

The truth about USC-Keck

The truth about USC-Keck

We are underpaid, our hospitals are understaffed, and patients are waiting longer for care. Instead of working with us on a contract to improve patient care, Keck-USC insists on the right to subcontract our jobs, pay us below-market wages, and prevent us from informing the public when patient care is compromised.

The university's current proposal would result in wage freezes for 62 percent of us and force us to pay more for our own health care --even though USC's healthcare system reported a $531 million operating profit last year.

A survey of more than 1,300 Keck-USC healthcare workers found:

could not afford an emergency $500 expense.

say Keck-USC’s staffing levels fail to meet patients’ needs.

pay more than half of their income toward housing

say understaffing limits their ability to provide timely, appropriate care.
